The 200+ years old legislative system we have inherited from the founding fathers of our democracies is antiquated and can be dramatically improved with the use of modern technologies. In our information age, there is no reason why a democracy should rely on a small group of political representatives to make decisions on behalf of a whole nation. Especially when time and time again, politicians have disregarded the opinion of the majority and taken decisions that have lead their country deeper into economical, financial and / or social problems.

Political representatives have failed the people of many countries. For the first time in history our current legislative system can be peacefully upgraded for a more democratic version. With the advent of internet technologies, congress (or parliament) can be open to everyone of voting age within a nation. The laws and the future of a nation can and should be decided by its people directly.

Politicians, through the(ir) mainstream media, will try and convince us that we do not have the skills, the knowledge or the wisdom to implement direct democracy. Do not be fooled by their arguments. The only reason why they do not want to see such a change implemented is simple: they do not want to give up their power and influence and hand it back to its rightful owners. The current economical, financial and social crisis is the reflection of their incompetence and sometimes corruption. We cannot and should not wait for their leadership to bring about pure democracy.

Our goal is to promote and guide the birth of direct democracy anywhere where the people wish to regain control of their decision making powers. We invite everyone to contribute in helping us achieve our mission:

  • We the People, shall define the rules and processes that will govern direct democracy.
  • We the People, shall design, develop, test, and implement an open source legislative platform to empower all, within a nation, to participate in open congress.
  • We the People, shall spread awareness on the true potential that direct democracy has to offer.
  • We the People, shall organize and sign petitions to bring about popular referendum to allow for our nations to peacefully switch to direct democracy.

As a collective, we have amongst us the most talented people in all disciplines. Together, we the People, can succeed where politicians have failed!
