Brief:
In representative democracies, members of congress (or parliament) have the unique privilege of being involved in making (or repealing) the laws that govern their country. The People are not invited to participate in this crucial exercise. In a direct democracy, no such privileges are held by a small group of people. From introducing laws to debating, proposing amendments and finally voting, everyone is included in the legislative life of their country. This is the definition of true Democracy!
